The National Right to Life Committee, the nation’s oldest and largest pro-life organization, endorsed State Representative and Republican Nominee Katie Arrington for Congress in South Carolina’s First District.
In their endorsement, The National Right to Life Committee highlighted Arrington’s work in the State Legislature to pass the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act – a bill prohibiting abortion at 20 weeks, a point by which the unborn child is capable of experiencing great pain when being killed by dismemberment or other late abortion methods. The Committee also stressed the importance of Arrington’s opposition to using taxpayer dollars for abortion.
“This endorsement reflects Representative Arrington’s commitment to strengthening a culture of life throughout the nation and in the U.S. Congress. We look forward to working with Representative Arrington to protect the most vulnerable members of the human family – unborn children and medically dependent or disabled persons, whose lives are threatened by abortion or euthanasia.”
In accepting the endorsement, Arrington said,
“As the mother of a child born with special needs, I am unwavering in my support of life and know that we must foster and protect a culture that values all human life in South Carolina, starting with the most vulnerable – the unborn. This endorsement from the National Right to Life Committee is truly an honor.”
