The leading law enforcement officers from the Lowcountry are all endorsing State Representative Katie Arrington for Congress. In an announcement today – the Sheriffs from Beaufort, Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, and Dorchester Counties expressed their support for Arrington and her campaign.
“There is absolutely no doubt that Katie Arrington will always support our Law Enforcement Officers,” said Charleston Sheriff Al Cannon. “From her time at the State House, she has shown that she stands with law enforcement and that she is committed to providing the necessary tools for LEO’s to do their jobs successfully and safely.”
“While the Democrats in Congress push to abolish ICE and insult the men and women who protect our community, Katie Arrington stands proudly with our men and women in uniform,” said Dorchester Sheriff L.C. Knight.
“As a mother and grandmother, Katie Arrington will always work to keep our families and neighborhoods safe,” said Berkeley Sheriff Duane Lewis. “I proudly stand with her now and look forward to working with her in the future to make that happen.”
“I join my fellow Lowcountry Sheriffs in endorsing Katie Arrington: a leader we can trust and count on,” said Colleton Sheriff R.A. Strickland. “We know she will always put the Lowcountry first.”
“We need a Congresswoman who will fight to get rid of sanctuary cities and will fight to stop the flow of drugs and gangs into our Nation, State, and communities,” said Beaufort Sheriff P.J. Tanner. “Katie Arrington will be that tough-on-crime Member of Congress for us.”
In accepting their endorsements, Arrington pledged to continue backing the blue while in Congress.
“The men and women who wear a badge are heroes who deserve our respect and appreciation,” said Arrington. “While DC Democrats may attack law enforcement, I wholeheartedly stand with our Lowcountry officers and their families.”
