Michael Biundo, a senior advisor to President Donald Trump’s campaign, and his firm’s partners, have joined Republican Katie Arrington’s congressional campaign. Michael Biundo and RightVoter partner Andrew Boucher of Charleston will serve as general consultants, adding significant experience across the country to a campaign that has already built strong momentum heading into the final stretch of the Republican primary.
Arrington, who recently earned the largest endorsement of the campaign so far – that of North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey, an early Trump supporter – stressed the significance of the Trump connection with the addition of RightVoter.
“The voters have a clear difference in this race – charting a new path with a conservative who will proudly support President Trump’s bold conservative agenda in me – or staying on the trail of obstructionism and constant bashing of the President by Mark Sanford. I am optimistic that South Carolina voters will move past the self-serving career politician incumbent and elect a new, strong conservative committed to public service. I am also confident that the addition of a Trump campaign senior advisor and the firm that led a significant aspect of direct voter contacts for the President’s campaign will ensure this happens.”
Biundo, who served as a senior advisor to President Trump’s campaign, previously served in senior leadership of the presidential campaign of Senator Rand Paul in 2016 and as the 2012 national campaign manager for former Senator Rick Santorum’s presidential campaign, shared his excitement on joining the campaign:
“As a proven business leader, State Representative, and President Trump-supporting conservative, Katie has shown that she has the conservative conviction needed to shake up Washington.”
Boucher, who has run campaigns for every office and advises candidates on strategy and tactics, is based out of the firm’s Charleston office. He was the national political director for Senator Rick Santorum’s presidential campaign. Boucher added:
“Our firm is extremely excited at the opportunity to join Katie Arrington and her family as she fights to become the strong voice the Lowcountry needs in Congress. We are also excited at the opportunity to help elect the first female Republican to federal office in South Carolina.”
RightVoter will join national-award winning Republican political consulting firm UPT Strategies, who has worked with Arrington from the start of her campaign, as general consultants on the race.
